Sea Kayaking & Cape Point Tour Overview
Depart your city based hotel and travel to the naval hamlet of Simon’s Town which is located on the False Bay coast of the Cape Peninsula. Embark on a sea kayaking adventure(scheduled) with experienced guides in a twin or single-seater Fluid kayak accompanied by a knowledgeable, fully-trained and experienced sea kayak guide. Kayaks are stable and perfect for those with no experience.
Head out to explore the waterways and secret coves hidden amongst pristine beaches and the natural environments of so many wildlife species that call the area home. After a beach landing you will return to Seaforth Beach to change into dry clothing.
Before continuing your journey, visit the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony to witness the African Jackass Penguin in its natural environment.
After this delightful visit, travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve–one of two world-renowned landmarks within the Table Mountain National Park. The Cape of Good Hope functioned as something of a beacon for sailors for years and is still widely referred to as ‘The Cape’ by seafarers. Most visitors to Cape Town regard a trip to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point (the tip of the Cape Peninsula) as obligatory. This part of the park is home to an array of fynbos, over 250 species of birds, buck, baboons and Cape mountain zebra.
There are numerous paths on which one can set off on foot, and tidal pools on almost isolated beaches.Enjoy the breath-taking views from Cape Point Lighthouse and travel to the most South-Western point of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope.In the late afternoon, drive along the coastal route via Noordhoek, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Hout Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard back to your city based hotel.
