Best Of The Cape Winelands Overview
Start your day in the Winelands with a superb wine tasting experience at the highly acclaimed Warwick Estate in Stellenbosch. Learn about the history of the estate and the legend of the Wedding Cup, a tale from hundreds of years ago.
Your next tasting in Stellenbosch is at a unique, boutique winery nestled in the dramatic Jonkershoek Valley. Taste beautiful hand-crafted wines from a small island overlooking a still pond that reflects the dramatic mountain range from above.
Next, enjoy award-winning estate wines from biologically grown grapes at the classically styled La Motte tasting room, while browsing an extensive selection of art, including famed SA artist, JH Pierneef’s heritage collection. Finish off with a stroll through the sculpture garden and admire the many works of art on display.
End the day with the local version of South African sparkling wine, Methode Cap Classique (MCC) perfectly paired with delicious canapes at Le Lude within sight of the famous Huguenot Monument, a memorial to the French Huguenots that found their way to South Africa after fleeing persecution for their religious views in France.
